Martynas Velička

Martynas Velička is a researcher in the field of physics science who has worked for various companies including The Optical Society, SPIE, and INTERLUX. Martynas is currently employed at ART21.

Martynas began their career as a research intern at the Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung Dresden in 2013. There, they were responsible for conducting research on the vibrational spectroscopy of molecular bonds of polymeric interfaces. Martynas also assisted in the synthesis of colloidal solutions of Ag and Au nanoparticles and prepared FTIR, Raman, SEIRA, and SERS analyses of polymeric layers.

In 2017, Martynas became a technical documentation specialist at INTERLUX. Martynas remained in this position until October of that year when they transitioned to StopFakeFood. At StopFakeFood, Martynas worked to prevent the spread of fake food products.

In 2019, Martynas became involved with the Optical Society (OSA) as the treasurer of the OSA Student Chapter of Vilnius Univ. Martynas held this position until October 2020 when they began working as a researcher for ART21.

Martynas Velička has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, a Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Physics from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University. Martynas has certification from Coursera in Structured Query Language (SQL) using SAS, Coursera Certified Courses in Managing Big Data with MySQL, Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research in International School Spectroelectrochemistry, Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University in Conversation skills, Valstybinė darbo inspekcija prie Socialinės apsaugos ir darbo ministerijos in Employee safety and health certificate, Vilniaus universitetas / Vilnius University in Innovative Teaching, and Energetikų mokymo centras in Fire safety certificate.
