David Shapiro has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. David is currently the Co-Founder of Arta Finance, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Google for over a decade. David'sroles at Google include Chief Business Officer for the Next Billion Users initiative from March 2017 to August 2021, Global Director of Chrome OS and Android Marketing from November 2013 to March 2017, Global Director of Chrome OS Marketing from March 2012 to November 2013, Director of Small Business Marketing, Americas from January 2011 to April 2012, and Director of Acquisition Marketing, North America from January 2010 to January 2011.
Before joining Google, David worked at American Express for 15 years, starting as a Vice President in 1995 and staying in that role until December 2009. Prior to that, they had roles at Breakthrough Advertising as an Associate from 1994 to 1995, CUC International as an intern in 1993, and Wiland Services as a Coordinator from 1990 to 1992.
David Shapiro attended Eastchester High School, but the start and end years of their education are not provided. After completing high school, they enrolled in Georgetown University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an undisclosed field of study. Later, from 1992 to 1994, they attended Columbia Business School to obtain their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
