Carolyne Southern is an experienced professional in the engineering and operations sectors, currently serving as Operations Standards Manager at ARTC since April 2017. Previously, Carolyne held the position of Director/Consultant at Southern Machinery Services from December 2014 to March 2017 and worked for Pacific National from March 2004 to July 2014 in various managerial roles, including Manager of Technology and Systems, Manager of Standards and Monitoring, and Reliability Manager. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at the Australian Rail Track Corporation from 1998 to 2004 and as a Project Manager at McConnell Dowell, overseeing significant projects such as the Port Stanvac Wharf Refurbishment and the Batangas Combined Cycle Power Station and Wharf Build. Carolyne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Australia, earned between 1992 and 1997.
