Chad Beard

Principal Enterprise Architect at ARTC

Chad Beard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Chad started their career in 2003 at EDS Group, where they worked as a Senior Helpdesk Analyst and provided support for over 48,000 end users. Chad gained expertise in active directory administration, Windows NT administration, Novell administration, remote PC support, and network printing support. In 2005, Chad joined Boart Longyear as a System Administrator, where they handled various responsibilities such as system configuration, troubleshooting, network monitoring, and administration of Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory environments. Additionally, they gained experience in VMware server administration, network troubleshooting, OSD deployments, and global SOE builds. Since 2013, Chad has been working at ARTC, where they have held various roles such as Senior Infrastructure Support Officer, Enterprise Technology Manager (Secondment), and their current role as Principal Enterprise Architect.

Chad Beard attended Cardijn College from 1996 to 2000, where they earned their SACE degree. Chad later pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology at Flinders University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate certification in February 2021, a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification in 2016, a Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification in 2017, and a Diploma in Leadership & Management from the Australian Institute of Management in 2019. Chad is also scheduled to obtain a TOGAF® Certification from The Open Group in 2023.
