Evgeny Lykhin

VP Software Development at Artec 3D

Evgeny Lykhin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Evgeny started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Belgorod Shukhov State Technology University, where they taught courses on Database Theory and Logical Programming. Evgeny also co-wrote a textbook for the Logical Programming course.

After that, they worked at IBS Group as a Software Developer, where they designed database and OLAP storage structures, implemented a visual modeling language for simulation applications, and built a prototype of an automated mass-media monitoring and analysis system. Evgeny later became a Software Architect and Team Leader at IBS Group.

Next, they joined Luxoft as a Software Technologies Consultant, where they provided Microsoft .NET and SQL Server technologies consultancy for Citigroup UK.

Evgeny then moved to Schlumberger, where they held multiple roles. As a Software Architect, they contributed to software development projects. Later, as a Product Analyst, they became the product owner for Petrel and Ocean Infrastructure, playing a key role in defining the scope for three yearly releases of the product.

Since 2013, they have been working at Artec 3D as the VP of Software Development and VP of Product Management. In this role, they lead software development, manages software development teams, and fosters the use of a diverse range of digital technologies.

Outside of their professional career, Lykhin also volunteers as an Engineering Leadership Mentor at Plato.

Evgeny Lykhin completed a Master's degree in Computer Science from Belgorod Shukhov State Technology University from 1994 to 1999. Then, from 2000 to 2005, they pursued another Master's degree in Music Education from the Russian Academy of Music named after Gnesiny.
