Maya Collins has a diverse work experience in the field of research and laboratory work. Maya currently works as a Research Associate I at ResearchDx since July 2022. Prior to this, Maya was a Laboratory Technician at Artemis DNA from February 2021, where they were responsible for receiving, organizing, and processing specimens as well as maintaining quality assurance. Before that, they worked as a Laboratory Technician at Pathnostics - A Diagnostics Solutions Company from July 2020 to February 2021, where they processed patient nasal swabs to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2. Maya also has experience as a Research Associate at the Marine Invertebrate Biology (MIB) Lab at Chapman University from January 2017 to June 2020. Their responsibilities in this role included investigating Ocean Acidification (OA) effects on predator-prey behavior and conducting statistical analysis. Maya also assisted in improving efficiency in protocols and assays.
