Mahtab Kamali

Mahtab (Maria) Kamali, PhD, serves as the Director of Data Science and AI at Arteria AI, leading the development of advanced AI solutions for financial documentation since October 2023. With an extensive background in data science, Maria has previously held prominent roles, including Director of AI/ML at Loblaw Companies Limited, where scalable data-driven solutions were delivered, and worked as a Data Scientist at Thomson Reuters, leading an AI/NLP team. Maria has contributed to various organizations as a data analyst and crisis responder, while also serving on the advisory committee for the University of Guelph's data science program. Academic credentials include a PhD in System Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Science from Concordia University, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Shiraz University.
