Shweta P. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Shweta currently serves as a Board Member at National Development Bank PLC (NDB), starting in May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at ARTH, where they focused on providing responsible finance to nano and small businesses in India. Shweta P. also served as an IFC Board Member at Maha Agriculture Public Co., Ltd.

Shweta has experience in the technology sector as well, having worked as an Advisor for Vectorly, an EdTech start-up, and as a Digital Finance Advisor for South Asia at the World Bank Group. Shweta P. also held advisory roles at the Subhash Chandra Foundation and worked as the COO and Senior Vice President at Airtel Payments Bank, where they played a key role in conceptualizing and launching India's first payments bank.

Additionally, they founded and served as the CEO of YTS - Enabling Payments for Migrants, a fintech start-up focused on the domestic migrant population in India. This business was later acquired by Bharti Airtel, India's largest telecom company.
