Derek J McNab

Derek J McNab is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and environmental consulting. Serving as Chief Executive Officer of Arthian since its establishment in May 2000 following a merger of Mabbett and IKM Consulting, Derek has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde since December 2009, focusing on environmental engineering topics. In addition to roles such as President of the Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce and Director at GEP Environmental Ltd, Derek has held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of Mabbett Ltd and Director at IKM Consulting Ltd. Derek's contributions to professional organizations include serving as the IChemE Representative on the Engineering Policy Group Scotland and Chair of the Scottish Members Group for IChemE. Academic credentials include an MSc in Clean Technology & Management and a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
