Edward Torres

Edward Torres is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the reinsurance and capital markets sectors. Currently serving as EVP at Gallagher since October 2018, Torres previously held the role of Director of Capital Market Reinsurance Solutions at Partner Reinsurance from October 2012 to May 2018. Prior to that, Torres was President at Baldwin & Lyons Capital Markets from August 2008 to August 2012 and Senior Vice President at Benfield Advisors, Inc. from June 2006 to August 2008, focusing on capital market initiatives. Torres began a significant career in reinsurance as Senior Vice President at Platinum Re, where responsibilities included underwriting for various reinsurance structures from June 1999 to May 2006. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School.
