Melissa Kowalke has a diverse work experience in marketing and analytics. Melissa currently holds the position of SVP of Marketing at Artifact Uprising, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Chief Marketing Officer at Boatsetter, a global marketplace for on-demand boating, from September 2022 to May 2023. Melissa was also a Member at Chief, a private network for senior women leaders, from May 2022 to May 2023.
Melissa has previous experience at Blue Nile, where they held various roles in marketing. Melissa served as VP of Marketing from June 2022 to September 2022, VP of Marketing Analytics & Operations from October 2021 to June 2022, and VP of Paid Media from June 2020 to October 2021. Prior to that, they were a Search Engine Marketing Manager at Redfin from July 2014 to October 2015 and a Kindle SEM Marketing Leader at Amazon from February 2014 to July 2014.
Melissa's career also includes experience as a Senior Search Manager at 3Q Digital from April 2011 to January 2014. In this role, they led strategy for SEM, display, and video campaigns, managed a team, and created training materials for SEM optimization tasks. Before that, they served as a Webmaster at the Sacramento Area Tennis Association from September 2010 to March 2012.
Melissa Kowalke obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UC San Diego, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. In May 2018, they also obtained ABM Certification: Foundations from Demandbase.
