Jose Luis Albarral has a diverse work history spanning over two decades. Jose Luis began their career as a Software Consultant at Accenture in 1998 before moving to GFT, where they worked as a Software Developer from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, they joined the IRI - Institut de Robàtica i Informàtica Industrial, CSIC-UPC as a Robotics Researcher while pursuing their Robotics and Computer Vision PhD program at UPC. During their time at IRI, they conducted research and developed solutions related to robot walking strategies in rough terrain. In 2008, they founded Migtron Robotics, a startup focused on developing advanced software solutions for service robots. Although the project was ultimately discontinued, Jose Luis played a key role in designing and developing a robotic vision system. In 2011, they joined Tecsidel as a Java Software Developer, where they were involved in the development of the backend system for Toll+, a highway toll control solution used in various countries. Currently, Jose Luis works at Artificial Solutions as a Java Software Developer, contributing to the development of Teneo, a conversational AI solution for building enterprise-level chatbots.
Jose Luis Albarral's education history begins in 1991, when they attended the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and obtained a degree in Electronics in 1997. Jose Luis furthered their education by pursuing a postgraduate program in Automation, Sensors, and Actuators from 2001 to 2002, still at the same university. In 2004, they returned to the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Robotics and Vision, which they completed in 2008.
