Shantia Reese, M.Ed., has a diverse range of work experience starting from 2010. In their early career, they worked as a Student Support Services member at the Multicultural Success Center-IUPUI, where they facilitated events and programs and assisted students in finding resources and organizations.
In 2015, Shantia joined Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis as a Program Assistant, managing internship applications, coordinating travel grants, and providing coaching to students. Shantia then transitioned to a role as a Professional Teller at Teachers Credit Union, where they educated and helped members with their banking needs.
From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Project Program Coordinator at both Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and Marian University Indianapolis. Here, they focused on implementing multicultural programs, developing training materials, and designing a curriculum for fraternity and sorority organizations.
In 2017, Shantia took on the role of Project Manager at Central Michigan University, where they managed curricula development, facilitated training, and oversaw various projects to support the university's philanthropy goals.
From 2019 to 2021, Shantia served as an Assistant Director (Program Manager) at St. Edward's University. In this role, they led departmental communication strategies, managed projects, and built partnerships to enhance student engagement and retention.
In 2022, Shantia worked as a Business Development Representative at Ontic, where they collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop account strategies, expand industry research, and identify new business opportunities.
Currently, Shantia is freelancing as a Project Manager and will be joining Artisan E-Learning as a Project Manager in 2023.
Shantia Reese, M.Ed. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Shantia then pursued a Master of Arts in Higher Education in Administration with a focus on Higher Education/Higher Education Administration at Central Michigan University. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Leadership Studies from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
Shantia Reese has also obtained several certifications. Shantia completed a course on Change Management: Roadmap to Planning and another course on Designing a Training Program: Setting Goals, Objectives, and Mediums, both from LinkedIn in February 2023. In January 2023, they completed a Capstone course called Applying Project Management in the Real World from Coursera. In December 2022, they completed a course on Agile Project Management from Coursera. Shantia also completed courses on Project Execution: Running the Project in November 2022, Project Planning: Putting It All Together in October 2022, Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project in August 2022, and Foundations of Project Management in February 2022, all from Coursera. Finally, Shantia received a certification in Conversational Sales from Drift in February 2022.
