Alexander Ponamarev

Senior Machine Learning Engineer (deep Learning) at Artisight

Alexander Ponamarev has a strong background in machine learning and deep learning. Alexander started their career at Immersed [Techstars '17] as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they developed and optimized machine learning models for human pose and gesture recognition. Alexander designed experiments and tests for various neural network architectures and successfully integrated deep neural networks with Apple hardware, achieving real-time performance.

After that, Alexander joined IQVIA as a Machine Learning Engineer. In this role, they developed machine learning and traditional AI algorithms, productionized code, and deployed algorithms at scale. Alexander worked on NLP, Computer Vision, OCR, and Recommendation Systems algorithms, utilizing Tensorflow, Keras, and Scikit-Learn libraries. Alexander also improved the performance of Python applications using profiling, Cython, C++, and parallel computing.

Most recently, Alexander joined Artisight as a Computer Vision Research Engineer (Deep Learning). Alexander has been responsible for delivering patient monitoring systems using deep learning to enhance patient outcomes while reducing risk. Alexander develops and trains deep learning models, including object detection models, action classification models, and self-supervised learning algorithms. Alexander utilizes PyTorch and MMLabs frameworks for model training.

Alexander Ponamarev's education history is as follows:

Alexander obtained a Computer Vision Nanodegree from Udacity in 2021, focusing on the field of Computer Science.

In 2017 to 2018, they pursued an AI Nanodegree from Udacity, specializing in Artificial Intelligence.
