Uğur Yekta Başak

Uğur Yekta Başak is the co-founder and CEO of artlabs. Uğur was previously a graduate research assistant at Koç University, where they worked on optical design and simulations of augmented reality displays, computer vision, and human-computer interaction. Uğur was also a teaching assistant at Koç University, where they taught Introduction to Optics and Introduction to Programming. Prior to that, they worked as a project management assistant at GE, where they assisted with the local implementation of IoT and predictive maintenance projects, and conducted market research and segmentation of a diversified product group. Uğur also worked as an assessor at Yandex and as a quality assurance specialist at Inveon.

Uğur Yekta Başak has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University, and a Master of Science - MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a focus on AR displays from Koç Üniversitesi. Before that, they attended Izmir Fen Lisesi.
