Michael J. Ellis. CISSP, CISA, CDPSE

Michael J. Ellis, CISSP, CISA, CDPSE, has extensive work experience in the technology, security, and compliance fields. Michael began their career in 1995 as a Sr. Consultant at Ellucian, and then moved to Harvard Business School as a Supervisor of Systems Services in 1997. In 1998, they joined Fidelity Investments as a Director of Architecture, where they managed computing strategy and roadmap for Open Systems and traveled to remote locations for participating in industry conferences and private vendor events. Michael then moved to CredoRax Inc. in 2011 as Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, where they navigated all aspects of technology, security, and compliance activities for a venture backed FinTech European Bank. In 2017, they joined Processing.com as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, where they directed technical and security operations of a multinational payments organization and achieved PCI-DSS L1 compliance within three months. In 2019, they became the Founder of MaxQ Consulting Services LLC, and also took on the role of Vice President of Technical Operations, Office of the CTO at Burning Glass Technologies. Michael currently holds the role of Chief Technology Officer at Ark PES.

Michael J. Ellis obtained their B.S. in Computer Engineering from The George Washington University in 1992, and their M.S. in Information Systems Technology from The George Washington University School of Business in 1995. Michael also holds two certifications: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, obtained in October 2020, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², obtained in October 2020.
