Aileen O'Riordan is an experienced communications professional with a background in content strategy and management. Aileen has held roles at various organizations, including Communications Officer at Arts Council England, Communications Manager at Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, and Web Content Editor for Marketing and Communications at The University of Manchester. Aileen also worked as a freelance content strategist, writer, and editor, and served as Head of Online Projects at the National Maritime Museum. Aileen graduated with a BA Hons in English Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from The Manchester Metropolitan University.

We champion, develop and invest in artistic and cultural experiences that enrich people's lives. We support activities across the arts, museums and libraries – from theatre to digital art, reading to dance, music to literature, and crafts to collections. By 2030 we want England to be a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish and where everyone of us has access to a remarkable range of high quality cultural experiences. Between 2018 and 2022, we will invest £1.45 billion of public money from government and an estimated £860 million from the National Lottery to help deliver this vision.
