Adrienne Valencia

Adrienne Valencia has an extensive work experience in the field of arts education and community engagement. Adrienne has held leadership positions in various organizations, including Arts Education Connection San Diego, where they served as the Executive Director, collaborating with staff, artists, funders, and partners to deliver arts education programs to thousands of children and families. Prior to that, they were the Programs Director at Arts for Learning San Diego, where they led multiple program areas and managed grant applications and implementation. Adrienne also worked as the Director of Education & Community Engagement at the San Diego Symphony, where they created and implemented education and community programs in partnership with schools and music teachers. Adrienne has also held similar roles at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Adrienne has experience as a Music Teacher in various music schools. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to arts education and has successfully developed and implemented programs to engage and inspire students of all ages.

Adrienne Valencia obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a minor in Business Administration from Humboldt State University in 1991. Adrienne then went on to complete a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance with an emphasis in Pedagogy and a minor in Art History from California State University, Fullerton in 1994. In 2014, Adrienne earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Brandman University. Later, in 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts. Additionally, they hold additional certifications in Non-Profit Management from Nonprofit Solutions and First Level Certification in Image Consulting from the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI), obtained in 2014 and 2006 respectively.
