Deirdre Moore

Deirdre Moore is a seasoned education professional with extensive experience in arts integration and early childhood education. Currently serving as the Residency Programs Manager at Arts Education Connection San Diego since September 2018, Deirdre has also worked as a Consultant for Education/Arts Integration at Artful Learning since January 2004. Previously, Deirdre was an Early Childhood Music and Movement Teacher at Songbirds Music from 2011 to 2021, where a strong background in Irish Step Dancing and musical theater blended with teaching abilities to engage young learners. Deirdre's experience in the San Diego Unified School District from September 2012 to September 2018 included roles as an Arts Resource Teacher for grades K-5, emphasizing the integration of dance, visual arts, and musical theater. Deirdre's earlier work as a teacher at Northfield Elementary School from 2007 to 2010 involved co-chairing the Responsive Classroom Committee and curriculum redesign. Deirdre holds a Master's degree in Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education from Saint Joseph College.
