Jessy Mendez

Director, Arts In Education at ArtsWestchester

Jessy Mendez has a diverse work experience in the arts and wellness sectors. Jessy has been with ArtsWestchester since 2006, where they have held various roles. As the Director of Arts in Education, they oversee the program and grants, provides guidance to applicants and grantees, and manages panel proceedings. Previously, Jessy served as the Grants Program Manager and Program Manager for Arts in Education, where they coordinated grant cycles, managed contracts with social service agencies and school districts, and organized art classes and workshops. Prior to ArtsWestchester, they worked as an Assistant in the Programs department and assisted the CEO. Jessy has also worked as a Yoga Instructor at Hourglass Women's Wellness and Lady Fitness of America.

Jessy Mendez attended SUNY New Paltz from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies.

Established in 1965 as the Council for the Arts in Westchester, we are New York State’s largest private, not-for-profit service organization, working to ensure the availability and accessibility of the arts for all of the county’s residents.
