Software Engineer at Artsy

Erik Stockmeier has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Erik started their career at CSM Fastener Products Company as an Engineer, where they were responsible for creating manufacturing blueprints and training other engineers. Erik then transitioned into teaching at Chicago Public Schools as a Bilingual Social Studies Teacher, where they designed curriculum, incorporated student feedback, and emphasized local Chicago history. Following this, they worked at LAF as an Ombudsman Paralegal, focusing on healthcare outreach and enrollment. At Dose (formerly Spartz), Erik worked as a Software Engineer in Test, developing integration testing tools and maintaining internal tooling. Currently, Erik is a Software Engineer at Artsy, where they work on the auctions team, building and maintaining the full stack of auctions systems using Ruby, Scala, Node/ESWebpack, Objective C, and Swift.

Erik Stockmeier obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from Bradley University from 2002 to 2006. Later, from 2010 to 2013, they pursued a Teaching Certification with a focus on Social Studies/Secondary/Middle at Northeastern Illinois University. In 2015, they attended Dev Bootcamp to further their education in Full-Stack Web Development. The end year for this program is not provided.
