Emily Baker

Director, Nonclinical Research at ArunaBio

Emily Baker has worked at Aruna Bio, Inc. since 2017, where they currently serve as Director of Nonclinical Research. Prior to this, they were Principal Scientist of Nonclinical Development and Senior Scientist of Nonclinical Development. Emily also held the role of Research Scientist, where they worked on harnessing the natural abilities of neural exosomes to cross the blood brain barrier and enhance the body's anti-inflammatory, self-repair and protective mechanisms to treat a range of neurodegenerative disorders. Prior to this, Emily worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Georgia from 2012.

Emily Baker received their Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a field of study in Animal Biology from The University of Georgia in 2012. Emily then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from The University of Georgia, which they completed in 2017.
