Emma Sherwin is a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in the rail sector, currently working at Arup since January 2016 as part of the site development team in Solihull, and contributing to the HS2 Phase 2B design management team since May 2017. Prior to this role, Emma gained experience in Arup's rail teams in San Francisco and Solihull from September 2010 to October 2015. Early career development included three summer placements at Network Rail, awarded through a QUEST scholarship by the Institute of Civil Engineers, where a broad understanding of the UK rail network's operation and maintenance was achieved. Emma holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, completed in 2010.
