Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer, P.E., LEED AP, STP, currently serves as the FWLE Senior Civil Engineer at Sound Transit, managing contracts and safety for the Federal Way Link Extension project since October 2019. Prior to this role, Mark was a candidate for the City of Puyallup Council in District 2 and held positions such as Senior Transportation Project Manager at HDR, overseeing the Olympia office's transportation section, and City Engineer for the City of Puyallup, where responsibilities included management of capital projects and stormwater systems. Mark's extensive engineering experience includes roles at various firms, leading projects focused on sustainable development, stormwater management, and infrastructure improvement. Mark holds a BS in Aerospace Structures from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
