Oliver Riches is an Associate Director at Arup, bringing over 35 years of design and construction experience on major infrastructure projects across multiple continents. They currently serve as the Project Director for Arup’s engineering support to Amey and BEAR on the Scottish South West and South East Trunk Road Network, while also leading initiatives in data, AI, and bridge asset management through the Transformation and Innovation Programme. Their earlier roles included trainee steel fixer, civil engineer, and site engineer, with a strong foundation in civil engineering from Imperial College London, where they earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree.
