Olly Carlton is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arup with over 12 years of experience in geotechnical design for large multi-disciplinary projects. Having earned an MEng (Hons) in Civil and Structural Engineering from The University of Sheffield, Olly is a Chartered Civil Engineer recognized by the ICE. They currently lead geotechnical work on the Transpennine Route Upgrade, focusing on railway infrastructure, and previously held various technical roles within Arup, as well as a work placement at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Olly also served as a STEM Ambassador from 2008 to 2012 and was an ICE QUEST scholar.
