Karey Barker

Karey Barker is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and advisory roles. As the Founder and Managing Director of Cross Creek since January 2006, Karey has guided the firm’s strategic direction. In addition, Karey has served as an Advisory Board Member for ARUP Laboratories since 2016 and held a Board Member position at MEDNAX from 2017 to 2022. Previously, Karey was a member of the Management Board, Vice President Venture, and Portfolio Manager at Wasatch Advisors, where leadership was demonstrated in managing several public growth fund portfolios, including as Lead Portfolio Manager of Ultra Growth and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Global Technology Fund. Educational credentials include a BS in Finance and a BA in French from the University of Utah, along with a Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
