Kristi Smock has extensive work experience in the field of pathology. kristi. has held various roles at ARUP Laboratories, including Vice President and Chief Medical Director at the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Pathology. kristi. has also served as the Medical Director for the Hemostasis/Thrombosis Laboratory. Additionally, Kristi has been a Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah Department of Pathology since 2020, where they have also served as Residency Program Director and held roles as an Associate and Assistant Professor of Pathology.

Kristi Smock completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology at Utah State University in 1998. kristi. then went on to earn their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Utah in 2003. Following this, they completed a Pathology Residency in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology at the University of Utah from 2003 to 2007. In 2007, Kristi obtained a Combined Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology Certification (AP/CP) from The American Board of Pathology. kristi. then pursued further specialization in Hematopathology, completing a Hematopathology Fellowship at the University of Utah in 2008. Kristi also obtained additional certifications such as Hematopathology from The American Board of Pathology and a Certificate of Qualification in Hematology from the New York State Department of Health in 2008. Additionally, they obtained a Medical License from the State of Utah in 2004.
