Derik Gilbertson

Derik Gilbertson has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Derik started their career as a Network Engineer at the University of North Dakota in 1996, where they served as the Operations Division Network Manager until 1999. Derik then joined Bresnan Communications as a Network Engineer, where they played a key role in launching DOCSIS services in the Central MN area and migrating systems to local managed solutions. In 2002, they joined Charter Communications as a Senior Network Engineer, providing design, configuration, and technical support for commercial customers. Derik later served as a Supervisor for IP Projects, Senior Manager of Network Engineering, and Principal Engineer at Charter Communications, overseeing various aspects of network planning, upgrades, and budget management across multiple states. Finally, in 2018, they joined Arvig as a Network Engineer.

Derik Gilbertson obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota from 1990 to 1996.
