Markus Ihringer, CFA

Markus Ihringer, CFA, has a long and successful career in finance. Markus began their career in 2005 as a Technology Consultant at Accenture, where they were responsible for designing a new finance architecture after a merger of two European banks and implementing and customizing SAP AFI as a subledger for financial instruments at German saving banks. In 2008, they began working as a self-employed consultant for IT implementation in the finance departments of financial institutions. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Senior Accountant at DZ BANK AG, and from 2012 to 2014, they were a Manager of IFRS Consulting at Deloitte Consulting. From 2014 to 2021, they were a Partner of Finance Transformation at KPMG Deutschland, where they were part of the management of CFO Services with 120 staff members and was responsible for driving KPMG's Intelligent Automation solution to increase organizational efficiency. Markus also led large IFRS 9 implementation projects with more than 100 team members and set up robotic process automation consulting. In 2021, they became the Head of Finance at Nuri (ex-Bitwala), where they were responsible for supporting fundraise series B and series C, accounting, tax, controlling, and FP&A, and scaling up finance processes within the hyper growth company. In 2022, they began working as the VP of Finance at Arweave.

Markus Ihringer, CFA obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder from the CFA Institute in August 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they attended Aalen University and received their Diplom-Betriebswirt in Internationale Betriebswirtschaftslehre. From 2014 to 2015, they attended Universidad de Belgrano and received their Licenciado en Administración in Wirtschaftswissenschaften. In June 2021, they obtained their Transacting on the Blockchain certification from Duke University.
