Richard J. Strittmatter

Rick is a U.S. citizen who joined Arxada as Chief Technology & Sustainability Officer in 2021.

The vast majority of his 30-year career in the specialty chemicals industry has been focused on microbial control. He began as a research scientist at Nalco Chemical Company and has since held leadership positions at Nalco, ANGUS Chemical, Dow, and DuPont.

Rick was Global R&D and Regulatory Sciences Director for Dow Microbial Control, a Board Member for Viance, site leader for Dow’s Northeast Technology Center, and the carve-out and integration leader for DuPont Microbial Control. He has a passion for people, teamwork, innovation, and sustainable growth.

Rick has a BS degree from Wake Forest University and a PhD in Chemistry from The Ohio State University. He is a Board member for the American Cleaning Institute and has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
