Laurent Mortel

Laurent Mortel is an accomplished coach and educator in women's football, currently serving as the head coach of the professional women's team at AS Saint-Étienne since July 2022. With extensive experience in various coaching roles, Laurent has previously worked as a coach in D1 Arkema for ASJ Soyaux Charente and as the national team selector for the Haitian women’s national team. In addition to coaching, Laurent has held an academic position at the Université de Montpellier since September 2016. Laurent's coaching credentials are underpinned by degrees from the Fédération Française de Football, including a Certificat d'Entraîneur de Préparateur Athlètique and a BEE2 DES Football Licence UEFA A. Furthermore, Laurent has a solid foundation in sports training and physical education from the Université de Picardie Jules Verne and ÉSPÉ Académie d'Amiens.
