Steven Hicks

Dr. Steven Hicks has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Steven currently holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at As You Are, starting from November 2022. Previously, they worked at Penn State Health as an Associate Professor since July 2020, and prior to that, as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Pediatric Clinical Research Office from August 2015 to July 2020. Steven also served as a Research Associate at New York Medical College from July 2005 to June 2006.

Dr. Steven Hicks holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, which they earned from Marist College from 2003 to 2005. Steven then pursued a combined MD/PhD program in Neuroscience at SUNY Upstate Medical University from 2006 to 2012. Following this, Dr. Hicks completed the Pediatrics Residency Program at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University from 2012 to 2015, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule Clinical/Research Administration in 2016 and as a Board Certified General Pediatrician from the American Academy of Pediatrics in the same year. In 2012, Dr. Hicks also received certification in CITI Human Subjects Research from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY.
