Michaël Groosman

Michaël Groosman has a strong background in sales and business development. Michaël currently serves as the Director of Sales at REV.1 Engineering, a subsidiary of ASAHI Filmecc, and also holds the position of Director of Business Development Europe at Asahi Intecc USA, Inc. Additionally, Michaël has extensive experience at Asahi Intecc Europe B.V., where they started as a Technical Sales Manager and later became responsible for sales activities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Michaël played a critical role in establishing a new OEM/Components sales branch at the company and managed a sales team. Prior to their roles at Asahi Intecc, Michaël worked at ASAHI INTECC Europe B.V. as a Product Manager and Senior Account Manager, where they were involved in product launches, sales strategies, and distributor management. Michaël began their career as a Research Assistant/Program Assistant at IDH, The Sustainable Trade Initiative.

Michaël Groosman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Languages and cultures of Japan from Leiden University, starting in 2004 and finishing in 2009. Michaël then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Japanese studies from the same university, from 2009 to 2011. In 2010, they also had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at Sophia University, where they focused on the Graduate Program of Global Studies (GPGS). Currently, they are enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program in Combined STEM at The Open University, starting in 2017 and expected to finish in 2024.
