Alys Barr

Alys Barr is a seasoned professional in communications and financial inclusion, currently serving as the Financial Wellbeing & Inclusion Manager at ASB Bank since October 2021. Alys leads efforts to enhance customers' financial wellbeing and accessibility across Aotearoa New Zealand. Alys also chairs ASB's Neurodiversity Network Group, which has nearly 500 members, and oversees a committee focused on supporting neurodiverse individuals. Prior to ASB, Alys held various roles including Corporate Affairs Partner at The Warehouse Group and communications positions at several renowned organizations such as the John Innes Centre and the University of East Anglia, where Alys managed communications strategies and engagement plans. Alys is also the founder of The Wild Life, a travel and food blog, showcasing strong entrepreneurial skills and a background in effective stakeholder communication. Alys holds a BSc in Ecology from the University of East Anglia.
