David Welling

David Welling has extensive experience in project and capability management within the defense and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as the Transfer of Technology Build Lead and Industry Capability Lead at ASC Pty Ltd since June 2022, David previously held various leadership roles at Naval Group Australia from July 2019 to June 2022, including Industry Capability Development Lead and Project Manager. David's career at BAE Systems Australia spanned from 2007 to 2020, featuring positions such as Project Manager for the Hunter Class Frigate Program and Production Lead in Advanced Manufacturing. Earlier experience includes a role as a CNC Machinist at Diemould Tooling Services. David holds diplomas in Leadership & Management, Engineering, and Project Management from TAFE SA and is a student pilot with a Private Pilot License from Hartwig Air.
