Marin Bek

Marin Bek has a strong background in technology and entrepreneurship. Marin is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Ascalia Ltd., where they help manufacturing industries improve efficiency and reduce waste through AI-powered analytics. Prior to this, Marin founded and served as CEO of Kraken Ltd. from 2013 to 2019.

Marin also has considerable experience in technology roles. Marin was the VP of Technology at NextUser from 2017 to 2019, where they also served as the Chief Technology Officer from 2014 to 2017. Before this, they were a System Architect and Lead Developer at NextUser from 2013 to 2014. Marin has also worked as a Software Development Consultant at AVL from 2013 to 2015, and as a Software Engineer at AVL from 2011 to 2013.

In addition, Marin founded and served as CTO of MarineTechFactory from 2012 to 2014. Marin also gained industry experience as a Software Engineer at Bumblehood Ltd. from 2010 to 2011 and as a Lead Software Engineer at Robert Bosch from 2006 to 2010. Marin started their career at AVL in 2011 as a Software Engineer.

Marin Bek completed their education at the University of Zagreb/Sveuciliste u Zagrebu. Marin earned their Bachelor's degree in Control Engineering and Automation from 2005 to 2009. Marin then pursued further studies at the same institution and earned their Master's degree in the same field from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their academic pursuits, Marin Bek also graduated from the Founder Institute in 2013, where they studied Startup management.
