Brandon Mauch

Brandon Mauch has diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Brandon recently worked at Ascend Analytics, where they held various positions including Director of Resource Planning Analytics, Manager of Resource Planning Analytics, and Sr Energy Analyst from August 2018 to present. Prior to that, they worked at CLEAResult as a Sr. Program Manager and Analyst from August 2015 to August 2018. Brandon also had experience as a Utility Regulation Engineer at Iowa Utilities Board from October 2012 to May 2014. Additionally, Brandon served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2008 to December 2012 and as an Energy Research Intern at Robert Bosch Research and Technology Center from May 2011 to August 2011. Brandon started their career as a Security Engineer at the U.S. Department of State from January 2003 to August 2008 and served as an Education Volunteer in the Peace Corps from October 1998 to December 2001.

Brandon Mauch completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Kansas from 1992 to 1996. Brandon then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1996 to 1998. Continuing their educational journey, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed from 2008 to 2012.
