Ana Lopez

Ana Gabriela Lopez graduated from Concorde Career College in July of 2020 as a Vocational Nurse. While in nursing school, she worked as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility, assisting patients with multiple mental health concerns, such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s. After obtaining her nursing license, she worked in Covid units throughout the pandemic and served as a Covid-19 vaccine nurse.

Ana has also worked in hospice, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and med surgery positions. During the pandemic she realized how many families were in dire need of mental health services, so she decided to transition into residential treatment for adolescents. She now works for Ascend as a psychiatric nurse.

Working at Ascend has been an incredibly rewarding experience, as Ana gets to participate in holistic treatment of the entire family system, watching as parents and children reconcile, learn, and grow together.

As a nurse at Ascend, she has established an environment that ensures a loving, caring, and positive relationship with the clients to ensure they feel safe and comfortable. She believes that no matter their diagnosis, there is a compassionate heart and genius in each one of them.
