Maria Preston

Maria Preston, MBA, has extensive experience in project management and operations across various roles in two prominent organizations. Currently serving as a Product Owner at Ascend Learning since August 2020, Maria is responsible for maximizing product value through effective backlog management and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Previously, Maria held the position of Senior Project Manager, where project delivery was driven in a fast-paced environment utilizing SAFe methodologies. At Kaplan Test Prep from 2004 to 2020, Maria advanced through multiple roles, including Director of Operations, where strategic oversight of project delivery and P&L management was key, and Executive Director of Field Operations, overseeing a $130M business. Maria holds an MBA in Business Administration from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor's degree in Management with a focus on International Business from Kent State University.
