Billy Fairchild

Billy Fairchild's work experience includes roles at Ascend Performance Materials and Shaw Industries.

At Ascend Performance Materials, they started as a Team leader testing and CSL lab in May 1998, managing a physical testing laboratory responsible for material release and providing support to the R&D Technology organization and Field Technical Sales group. Billy later became the Senior Manager Product Quality and Packaging in November 2009, responsible for all quality activities within the Nylon and Chemical Intermediates Manufacturing operation. This included managing ISO17025 A2LA physical testing and chemical labs, as well as an ISO9001 certified inspection/testing lab. Recently, they have taken on the role of Global Quality Control Director, starting in April 2021.

Prior to their time at Ascend Performance Materials, Billy worked at Shaw Industries as a Department Manager from September 1993 to April 1998. In this role, they managed multiple carpet yarn manufacturing departments with 250 employees in a 24/7/365 operation. Billy was responsible for maintenance planning and ensuring production goals were met, with budget responsibilities of $3M annually.

Billy Fairchild attended Auburn University from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management.
