Chris Heynes

Chris Heynes is a seasoned professional in process development and manufacturing with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as VP of Process Development and Manufacturing at Eyconis, Inc. since March 2024, Chris Heynes previously held multiple senior roles at Ascendis Pharma, including Sr. Director and Head of Process Development and Manufacturing US. Prior experience includes a decade at Genentech as Principal Engineer and Drug Product Technical Lead, where responsibilities encompassed technical transfers, regulatory interactions, and product health investigations. Chris Heynes also contributed to process development at POINT Biomedical Corporation and performed bioprocess development at Xoma and Codon/Berlex Biosciences. Chris Heynes holds a degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego.
