Lene Garde Sommer

Lene Garde Sommer is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in regulatory affairs and clinical reporting, currently serving as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Ascendis Pharma since December 2021. Previously, Lene held various leadership roles at Novo Nordisk, including Vice President of Clinical Reporting, where oversight of a global unit with 130 personnel was provided, and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Devices, managing a team of 25. Notable accomplishments include successfully transforming the regulatory affairs device area, securing device input approvability for drug submissions, and serving as a representative on the MedTech Europe Board of Directors. Lene's educational background includes a Master's degree in Pharmacy from Danmarks Farmaceutiske Universitet, an Executive Coach certification from the Blichmann Leadership & Coaching Institute, and programs at Harvard Business School and Scandinavian International Management Institute.
