Daniel Palhazi Cuervo has a strong background in research and optimization, with a focus on collaborative logistics and combinatorial optimization in industrial experimentation and transportation. Daniel has held several research positions, including as a Principal Engineer at Ascenium Inc since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist at SINTEF from 2017 to 2021, where they led multiple R&D projects, conducted applied research in optimization, and developed algorithms for solving industrial problems. Daniel also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO from 2017 to 2019, conducting research on collaborative logistics. Daniel also has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Antwerp, where they conducted fundamental research on combinatorial optimization and co-supervised PhD students. Daniel Palhazi Cuervo earned their Engineer's degree (cum laude) in Computer Science from Universidad Simón Bolívar from 2005 to 2011. Daniel then went on to obtain their PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp, completing their studies from 2011 to 2015.
