Jessica Burr

Jessica Burr has extensive experience in proofreading and editing roles. Jessica worked for Ascensia Diabetes Care as a Lead Proofreader/Copy Editor, where they reviewed blood glucose testing product packaging and literature. Jessica also collaborated with project managers, designers, and technical writers to ensure corrections were made according to local regulatory requirements. Prior to that, they worked as a Proofreader/Copy Editor at Ascensia Diabetes Care, where they reviewed packaging and inserts for blood glucose management systems.

In addition to their work at Ascensia Diabetes Care, Jessica has been a Freelance Editor for self-employed since 2016. Jessica worked at Hal Leonard Corporation as an Editor, managing editorial and production schedules for more than 120 books on performing arts. Jessica also worked as a Copy Editor at Big Top Press and at McGraw-Hill Education, where they copyedited various educational products and received awards for excellence in teamwork and performance. Jessica also worked as a Copy Editor at Thomson Peterson's, editing descriptions for educational guides, and as a Freelance Editor at Silver Burdett Ginn, editing educational materials and applying national and Texas-specific educational standards.

Jessica Burr has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music from Mount Holyoke College. Jessica also holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Musicology from Princeton University.
