Aristotelis Filippidis M.D.

Aristotelis Filippidis MD PhD is a highly skilled neurosurgeon currently serving at Barrow Neurological Institute since July 2023. Since July 2019, Aristotelis has also held a position as Visiting Faculty in Brain Computer Interfaces and NeuroEngineering at Brown University School of Engineering, engaging in research with the BrainGate consortium. Prior experience includes clinical instructor of neurological surgery at Boston University School of Medicine from December 2020 to July 2023, and training as a neurosurgery resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center / Harvard Medical School from July 2016 to July 2023. Additional roles include co-investigator for the nICP trial at Boston Medical Center and postdoctoral fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University focusing on traumatic brain injury. Aristotelis Filippidis received a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Thessaly and an M.D. from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
