Eric S. Engler

Eric Engler serves as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff for Ascension. In this role, he provides leadership for the day-to-day operations and strategic evolution of Ascension’s Mission-inspired Transformation program. His responsibilities include oversight of the Transformation Design Teams’ efforts in designing and testing products, validating results, and developing implementation plans. He also leads the Ascension Transformation Office in providing strategic support to the Design Teams, championing agile ways of working, maintaining alignment of the work, managing risks and interdependencies, and monitoring progress and results. As Chief of Staff, Mr. Engler partners with the President and CEO to coordinate the activities of the Ascension Board of Directors, Ascension Leadership Team, Operations Leadership Team and Clinical Leadership Team to ensure alignment, integration and agile decision-making.

Mr. Engler previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer for Ascension. In this role, he served as the architect for Ascension’s strategy with responsibility for identifying opportunities and designing approaches to transform the organization and sustain its Mission.
