Steve Herder

Steve Herder is an experienced pastoral leader with a robust background in church ministry, serving as Associate Pastor at Ascension Lutheran Church, School and Preschool in Thousand Oaks since May 2007. Their responsibilities encompass senior adult ministries, prayer ministries, global missions, and community advocacy, alongside teaching roles in adult education and Biblical Hebrew. Prior to this, Steve held various pastoral positions, including as Pastor at St. Andrew Lutheran Church from 1990 to 2007, where Steve progressed from Associate Pastor for Youth Ministries to Senior Pastor. Their earlier experience includes serving as Associate Pastor for Youth Ministries at Trinity Lutheran Church and as Solo Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church. Steve's academic credentials include a Master of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from Wartburg College, specializing in Old Testament and biblical studies.
