Pamela Henkel Matassa

Pamela Henkel Matassa currently serves as the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer and Director of Communications for Ascension Parish Government since November 2023. With an extensive career in communications, Matassa has held the position of Communications Director for the Louisiana Department of Treasury since 2019 and previously worked as Deputy Communications Director for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Earlier roles include Corporate Communications Director at GMFS Mortgage, where significant contributions were made during the 2016 floods, and Assistant Vice President of Communications for the LSU Alumni Association. Matassa also has experience as Communications Director for the LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts, as well as various roles in television news at WVLA-TV, KTVE-TV, and WGMB-TV, and served as an independent communications contractor. Matassa earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Theatre and Mass Communication from Louisiana State University.
