With over 20 years of experience in the life sciences field, I am a biotech entrepreneur and leader who is passionate about driving innovation and impact in regenerative medicine and stem cell biology. I am currently the Co-Founder of Ascensus Therapeutics, where I am developing novel therapies for unmet medical needs, and the Consulting Chief Scientific Officer of PurposeBio, where I oversee the research and development of cutting-edge live biotherapeutics for cardiometabolic diseases. Previously, I was the Cofounder and CEO of Taiga Biotechnologies, a company that pioneered the ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells using fusion proteins, and a faculty member at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and the National Jewish Medical and Research Center, where I conducted groundbreaking research on hematopoiesis, immunology, and gene therapy. I have a Ph.D. in Immunology from Harvard Medical School, and I have published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as filed several patents. I have extensive skills in cell biology, biotechnology, and translational research, and I am committed to advancing the field of regenerative medicine and stem cell biology through collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
